[oikawa let out an undignified huff as he tapped his foot impatiently on the ground. he was angry, and upset, for sure. but he also didn't like feeling as if he were being forced into doing something? and this was exactly what was happening. he was getting forced into an arranged marriage of sorts to some princely alpha.

of course, that's not to say that he wasn't a of royal lineage either. because he definitely was! but he wanted to love freely? he didn't want someone to dictate who it was he committed the rest of his life to. and here he is. being forced to do everything he loathed.

yes, it was for the sake of his country, and it was supposed to help end the two from going into anymore wars. but. he doesn't even know this person! he's only heard stories of him? and from what he has heard of he doesn't really like him. more importantly he doesn't want the other to view him as some weak omega. because he most certainly is not one of those weak push over omegas!

gritting his teeth, he took to tapping his finger on the arm rest instead. how long was this guy going to take?! surely if he was going to meet his so "betrothed" he would have gotten there early with time to spare! it's not like he doesn't have a country to rule over after all, he could be listening to claims and giving the people what they need.]

It's fine. I assumed we would spend most of our time here in Shiratorizawa, so I wanted to get you something you liked to make your time here easier.

[he frowns.] We'll spend our time at both kingdoms equally. Ushiwaka-chan you know I can't give up tending to my people and their needs. [he shakes his head. at least this diverges his on coming panic attack. so he's not as. panicky or stressing over not getting ushijima a gift (yet).]

Often enough that his scent is completely bland to me. He... has feelings for me, this I am aware. I have told him that there will be nothing more to our relationship than what we have now. He is my assistant and nothing more. I trust him to carry out my orders and to not press forward with any overtures. Yet, his feelings for me are strong enough that he cannot control his body's need to attract me as a mate.

Satori has suggested options, but I feel that any change in our relationship would be an insult to us both.

An... insult? And you don't think that me watching that isn't one? [he bites on the inside of his cheek to keep himself in check. at least he wasn't as obvious over his one sided attraction in regards to iwaizumi. and he would never leave his smell on someone else. it was... beneath him to be honest. of course being born of royal blood also had something to do with that, but that's whatever.

he lets out a huff as he brings a hand to massage his temple.] As long as he truly means nothing to you then I will... do my best to let it roll off my back. It's the least I can do with everything you've had to deal with. But, I don't want to smell him on you any more.

[look he's dumb okay. and he's not really sure what to do with this rage monster inside of him. but at least he's handling this a lot better than he would have were it not for... that night he waves a hand and shakes his head.]

Yes, yes, okay, okay~ [he has to at least act somewhat complacent and not... so over the idea of having a guard trail him around like they were his second shadow. (though, of course, him acting complacent would also probably be the biggest red flag ever. but it was almost as easy as getting them to eat out of the palm of his hands.) this was something he was used to doing with back home with his own slew of guards. letting them follow him around before giving them a slip.

well-- okay it was mostly letting iwaizumi follow him around before giving him the slip. iwaizumi always hated him for putting him on the verge of a heart attack, but he knew the reason why oikawa did it in the first place. and that was so he wouldn't feel as cooped up, or isolated within the confines of his room and the castle. will he feel a little bad for leading reon around town before giving him the slip in a crowd? yes of course, but, it's the only way he can fully learn the layout and feel of his new home.

so whenever the alpha guard shows up to tag along with him he's pretty neutral about the ordeal. hell, he even lets ushijima scent him longer than necessary, all so he can avoid suspicion for what he's going to do later on in town.

at first he takes to exploring things quietly, but whenever he expresses interest in something reon is ready to answer and fill in the blanks. this is... kind of nice, unexpected, but really nice. a small part of him wonders what it would have been like were it ushijima leading the tour, but the thought is fleeting as they move on to the next set of buildings. they go on for a while longer before they reach a more bustling part of the city. it's where the vendors are located and it's at this point where oikawa thinks there are enough people around to give reon a slip.

he bats his eyelashes delicately and points over to a vendor selling different kinds of bread, and if the other would be so kind in buying him a small something since he's starting to work up an appetite. it's not too far from the truth. he is rather hungry. he didn't expect walking around would make him as hungry as he is, but, he also has to remind himself that they never really had anything once they arrived to the kingdom. so, of course he's famished.

with reon's back turned to his, he flees as quickly and quietly as he can. he feels incredibly bad leaving him in the dust like that, because the guard seems like he's a good guy with a sensible head on his shoulders. but this is the only way he'll get to explore the kingdom on his own terms. and if he's supposed to help rule, he'd like to get a first hand view on how his new townspeople are like, and what their needs are.]
