[oikawa let out an undignified huff as he tapped his foot impatiently on the ground. he was angry, and upset, for sure. but he also didn't like feeling as if he were being forced into doing something? and this was exactly what was happening. he was getting forced into an arranged marriage of sorts to some princely alpha.

of course, that's not to say that he wasn't a of royal lineage either. because he definitely was! but he wanted to love freely? he didn't want someone to dictate who it was he committed the rest of his life to. and here he is. being forced to do everything he loathed.

yes, it was for the sake of his country, and it was supposed to help end the two from going into anymore wars. but. he doesn't even know this person! he's only heard stories of him? and from what he has heard of he doesn't really like him. more importantly he doesn't want the other to view him as some weak omega. because he most certainly is not one of those weak push over omegas!

gritting his teeth, he took to tapping his finger on the arm rest instead. how long was this guy going to take?! surely if he was going to meet his so "betrothed" he would have gotten there early with time to spare! it's not like he doesn't have a country to rule over after all, he could be listening to claims and giving the people what they need.]

it also pays to be married to the king bc they probably wouldn't have been able to see the doctor so quickly. once they're let in he explains what's been ailing him and how long it's been going on for.

the doctor nods and jots a few things down before he wanders off to a different room.

oikawa frets a little as he turns to look at ushiwaka] I'm not dying, am I?

I haven't had a solid meal in a couple of days though!! That... that might be something!!

he whines when the doctor comes back to take his blood.

oikawa blinks owlishly as he looks between the doctor and his hubs

idk which is more shocking, the fact that oikawa has nothing to say, or that he actually stopped whining]

[ he says, and he's smiling as he wraps an arm around oikawa ]

[he sinks down in his chair. it's a good thing ushiwaka wraps an arm around him. maybe it'll help keep him up.]

W- well obviously! I'm... I'm still taking birth control? So I... this... [aaaaand there he goes working himself up]

[ grabs his hand and squeezes ]

I know that, it's just... [he looks down mournfully and sighs.] This sounds awful, even just thinking it it sounds cruel. But I was just... [he fidgets a little] I was looking forward to enjoying my time with you by myself for a little while before getting bogged down with children.

I'm also terrified I'm going to subject my children to what I had to go through, and I know you probably wouldn't let me do that, but it's just. I don't want to parent my future children the way my parents parented me. I also want you to be able to have a meaningful relationship with them as well, but that's going to get hard whenever you become king. And I'm--

[he looks to the side and shuts his eyes] I'm also afraid of somehow losing you throughout all of this. I don't think you would get tired of me whenever I.... get further along with my pregnancy. But it's still something I have a small fear of.
