[oikawa let out an undignified huff as he tapped his foot impatiently on the ground. he was angry, and upset, for sure. but he also didn't like feeling as if he were being forced into doing something? and this was exactly what was happening. he was getting forced into an arranged marriage of sorts to some princely alpha.

of course, that's not to say that he wasn't a of royal lineage either. because he definitely was! but he wanted to love freely? he didn't want someone to dictate who it was he committed the rest of his life to. and here he is. being forced to do everything he loathed.

yes, it was for the sake of his country, and it was supposed to help end the two from going into anymore wars. but. he doesn't even know this person! he's only heard stories of him? and from what he has heard of he doesn't really like him. more importantly he doesn't want the other to view him as some weak omega. because he most certainly is not one of those weak push over omegas!

gritting his teeth, he took to tapping his finger on the arm rest instead. how long was this guy going to take?! surely if he was going to meet his so "betrothed" he would have gotten there early with time to spare! it's not like he doesn't have a country to rule over after all, he could be listening to claims and giving the people what they need.]

[his hands falter a little] It's... not that? I'm just... very new to this... And you're very straight forward with a lot of things. It's. Still very embarrassing to hear it all? Even if it is... endearing.

It... was very much an arranged marriage. We... actually didn't start off on the right foot. But... [he struggles to find the right words to say that at the time he wanted to marry for love, and to not be used as a pawn for the bigger picture. but now, now he's actually gotten around to liking ushijima. however, words are hard so he just flounders a little.] Now I'd like to think we're on better ground? [he smiles a little sadly] You've been very patient and understanding with me, and it's more than I can ask for, if I'm... honestly speaking.

Hm, I am glad. I would not to be on bad terms with my husband.

[he shakes his head.] N- not that I know of? We... were actually going to bond this past weekend, but... then this happened. [he gestures.] Oh- uhm, I- I should probably go get a nurse??

They'll definitely want to know that you're awake and well.

[ blinks and seems to finally. realize where he is ]

How... did I get here?

[he pauses at the door] A cow kicked you in the head.

A cow.

Yes. [a pause.] Oh, you... tend to cows here. Shiratorizawa is practically known for their cattle and produce. Well, more specifically for the produce, but, you enjoy... or at least enjoyed taking care of the cows?

[he tilts his head to the side] I guess I should ask just to let the nurses know, but, how much do you remember?

[slow blink] So you know of Shiratorizawa? But not of yourself?

Oh crap-- [he nods his head in a small bow.] Sorry, I should-- the nurses will want to know. Uhm, I'll be right back, okay?

[oikawa nods and then leaves to go get the nurses so that they can take his vitals and see what the extent of his amnesia is. for the most part he tries to stay silent and out of the way as much as possible. once they're done they go to grab the doctor, who, thankfully doesn't take as long as he thought he would?

but the prognosis is grim and he politely tells them he has no idea when ushijima's memories are likely to return. but that it would be best to continue going about their daily lives and routines just in case it might trigger a start to bring back his memories.

they ask to keep him overnight just to measure his other vitals and make sure that he's able to function on his own outside of the hospital. but you can bet that he'd be there bright and early the next day to pick ushijima up from being discharged.]

Did you sleep alright? [he asks after a huuuuge yawn.]

Well enough.

[ he hesitates for a moment before continuing ] I would rather sleep at our home than here.

[he hums in agreement and nods] Yeah. I've never had an extended stay in a hospital? But I can't imagine that the beds are comfortable enough. Your bed is pretty comfortable though, so... [he pauses and blinks.] Oh! I... should probably ask them to change the sheets though? I don't imagine you want to sleep with something that has my scent all over it....

No, it's fine. Your scent will get on them anyway.

Heh? [he stops and turns to look at the other.]

We're married? Wouldn't we share a bed?

O- Oh.... well yes? But... wouldn't it be easier for you to get acclimated to it? [he frowns.] It would be one thing if you just hurt yourself, but... I dunno, you lost your memories? And even though we're married it... sort of feels like I'm taking advantage of you? I have no reason to take advantage of you, or to lie to you over any of the things I've told you. But... [he shakes his head.] I'm sorry I don't think I can, in good conscious, feel comfortable doing anything super.... romantic with you? [oops there he goes getting worked up over stuff] I'm sorry I wish I could explain it better, and I don't mean to come off sounding cold or anything? It's just... you're such a nice guy and I-- [he will continue to go down this spiral until you put a stop to it, probably.]

We're just sharing a bed, while I am asking you to sleep with me, I am not asking you to sleep with me. But, if you feel more comfortable sleeping elsewhere, then by all means do so. I still say changing the sheets is too much hassle. Perhaps a night sleeping in your scent will trigger some memories.

E- Even still it just... feels-- [he bites his lip] Sorry.... [he opens his mouth to say something else, but closes it.] Oh-- you know, that's actually.... I mean it might? I've scented you more than you've scented me! So it could trigger something, yeah!

[an idea clicks] Do you want me to take you on a tour around the castle? Oh-- do you have enough energy? I don't want to wipe you out if you're not feeling up to it.

Let us walk. They wouldn't let me at the hospital.
