Y- Yes. [one day he'll get used to this. but for now he's still gonna. be a bit of a prude about it. he's trying tho!!!]

[ he nods and then when he gets to their room, he's pausing at the doorway and leaning downwards to place a gentle kiss on oikawa's lips ]

I look forward to it.

[oikawa flushes brightly as he tries to not pull away so suddenly from ushiwaka's kiss. it's not that he doesn't like it. (read: he's kind of warming up to the idea, okok) but he's just so new at this, lol. he might actually push a little in to the kiss! who knows!!!

anyways- once he feels the other pull away, he looks down and to the side in embarrassment.] s- so embarrassing!

[ He nods and smiles and into their room they go.

But unfortunately, the weekend never comes for them. The Shiratorizawa side of the marriage now completed, it's time for Ushijima to get back to his duties, which include his own job in taking care of the royal livestock. it's the longest break he's ever had from the duties and he's a little eager to get back to the hustle and bustle of his sweet, lady cows.

unfortunately, they don't take too well to ushijima leaving them for such a long time. they get jealous and upset, and while he does his best to placate them and not overstep his bounds, he missteps and as a result, he gets a hoof to the head. ushijima is rushed to the hospital, who assure everyone that he will be fine. there's a chance of some brain injury, but it's minimal at best.

and so ushijima has been sleeping for a week. and oikawa, what have you been doing now that your husband has been quite literally kicked senseless by a cow. ]

[oikawa has. been spending his time with the hens all week. that is, he's been spending all his time with them when he isn't spending the rest of his time with ushijima.

it's. actually kind of calming to be around the hens, collecting their eggs and feeding them whenever they need to be fed. it beats.... staring at his husband's unmoving form.

they also don't really judge him for randomly crying or offer him awkward smiles when they catch him muttering something along the lines of "stupid alpha" or "stupid cows"

and more importantly, they don't look down on him sympathetically every time they come in to the room to read his vitals. it also helps that they can't speak, because he's certainly sick and tired of hearing that they'd call him if something were to happen, or if he suddenly woke up.

he lets out a sigh as he fiddles with his hands as he continues to stare at ushiwaka's unmoving form.]

[ a week is a long enough time to be asleep, ushijima figures. his figure stirs slightly and a low groan comes from his mouth ]

[at first he's not even sure if what he's seeing is real, or a figment of his imagination. but either way he startles at the sudden movement and noise (since what are tvs in this.... undisclosed timeline)]

U- Ushiwaka?!

[ he hears the noise and turns to look at oikawa. he tilts his head and frowns. ]

Who are you?

-- eh? Wh- this-- you're not playing some kind of.... mean game are you Ushiwaka-chan?

[ Blinks ]

Is that... me? Ushiwaka?

[oikawa's eyes widen in horror as a hand flies to cover his mouth.] I-- uhm... y- yes. Well, that's... a nickname I have for you? Uhm. [he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.] You're Wakatoshi Ushijima and you're the crown prince of Shiratorizawa. I'm... uhm. Tooru Oikawa and... I'm your husband. [he lifts up his hand weakly to show off the ring.]

I... we're married?

[he nods.] I'm a prince from Seijou. We... our marriage was arranged for the sake of our countries.

[ blinks more ]

You are also very attractive.

I?? Thank you? [he splutters a little as he hides his face in his hands] I can't believe you're still very embarrassing!

Do you not want me to tell you that you look good?

[his hands falter a little] It's... not that? I'm just... very new to this... And you're very straight forward with a lot of things. It's. Still very embarrassing to hear it all? Even if it is... endearing.

Well, just remember that you are attractive.

[he hunches a little as his ears burn]

It... was very much an arranged marriage. We... actually didn't start off on the right foot. But... [he struggles to find the right words to say that at the time he wanted to marry for love, and to not be used as a pawn for the bigger picture. but now, now he's actually gotten around to liking ushijima. however, words are hard so he just flounders a little.] Now I'd like to think we're on better ground? [he smiles a little sadly] You've been very patient and understanding with me, and it's more than I can ask for, if I'm... honestly speaking.
